If you have only two guests and require additional linens for the Queen pull out sofa, you must add the Queen Couch Linens Add On at checkout. *Ramsey Creek is seasonal and due to the rural nature of the area, lightning Wi-Fi speeds are not guaranteed.

Our guests love the 4 different trails that offer different views and seating areas with bird feeders to relax and take in this prime location in Ramsey Canyon and the Huachuca mountains. Add a guided tour of the 9 acre property at check out to better acquaint yourself with the flora and fauna of Ramsey Canyon. There are 3 different Bird Gardens to explore.  The original garden has over 35 feeders, two water fountains and plenty of seating to relax and enjoy.  The second garden is Hummer Hill on the Majestic View trail.  The third garden is the Creekside Garden next to Ramsey Creek.  An abundance of hummingbirds, as well as numerous other birds, Coues deer and Goulds Turkey are on the property everyday.  We have identified 14 species of hummingbirds on our property.  Our guests and visitors tell us they see more birds and wildlife here than at the Nature Preserve.  The birding and nature viewing is amazing year round and more hummingbirds than you can imagine in August & September!

A short walk up the road, .25 miles, is the Ramsey Canyon Preserve.  There is plenty more hiking and birding fun and it hosts a trailhead for the Hamburg Trail that connects to numerous Huachuca mountain trails.  Also nearby is Brown Canyon Ranch which has even more hiking and amazing mountain biking trails for you to explore!  We would be pleased to shuttle you to either destination if you don't want to walk, drive or bike.

Interested in shopping, viewing art, sipping wine and dining?  The nearby historical towns of Bisbee, Tombstone, and Sonoita as well as many other beautiful southern Arizona day trips like Chiricahua National Monument, will captivate your senses and provide an abundance of opportunities for you to explore.  Come see this beautiful area that everyone has been talking about!

National Treasure

Jen and Greg have created a national treasure with fantastic bird watching. I recorded 11 hummingbird species, including multiple Lucifer and Violet-crowned hummingbirds in mid-July. Their place had the best birding in the area, and so much can be done from the comfort of your cabin porch.

Another Great Stay

Had another great stay at Cowboy Cabin. So peaceful. Walked the trails. Saw so many birds (more than at the Preserve) Jen and Greg are the best hosts! We will be back!

Relaxing Getaway

I came for a relaxing getaway, and that's exactly what I got at Ramsey Canyon Cabins. I stayed in the Cowboy Cabin for five nights. Very comfortable and very clean, thoughtfully appointed, full kitchen fully equipped. I stopped in Sierra Vista on the way in for groceries. Restaurants are a short, easy drive from the cabin, but I enjoyed just staying put. In the Cowboy Cabin, the wildlife look back at you through the kitchen window and come right up to your porch (and the wild turkeys right up the steps!) Two deer laid down in the grass right in front of the porch as I was sitting there and we hung out in peaceful quiet for the longest time until they eventually got up and ambled away. And of course the birds and butterflies--so many! I'm not a birder as such but I've always enjoyed identifying birds along the way in daily life. This was my first dedicated time with binoculars and bird book (bird identifying app, actually), now I'm hooked! The trails are lovely for wandering and are well-marked. They have plenty of chairs and benches tucked in here and there, strategically located for the views or if you just need to sit for a bit. Jen will take you on a tour of the property if you want and give you the inside scoop of what to look for. (And speaking of lovely, what a lovely person Jen is. So welcoming!) There's wifi and tv with netflix, prime, etc. I thought for sure I wouldn't be using it but after a few nights I kinda felt like watching one of my binge shows and being a couch potato. At first I felt guilty, like I was cheating on my get-away-from-it-all retreat, but then I figured, hey, my vacation, my rules! I definitely recommend adding on the firepit. I was there in September when it was light out by 6:00 a.m. but the sun didn't reach the cabin until almost 9:00. The firepit was perfect for sitting on the porch on early chilly mornings cradling a cup of coffee and, literally, waking up with the birds. A wonderfully cozy way to start each day. If you're looking for a quiet retreat from city life to rest and rejuvenate, this is it. I'm already planning my next visit!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay.  We really appreciate your business and such a beautiful review.  We look forward to having you again, see you soon!

A BIRDER’S & HIKER’S PARADISE

BEST BIRDING VACTION YET! 5 OUT OF 5 RATING!WE RECENTLY STAYED AT THE “RELAXING COWBOY CABIN”, ONE OF THE 2 CABINS AT RAMSEY CANYON CABINS. IT WAS TRULY EXCEPTIONAL. WHEN WE DROVE UP TO THE PROPERTY, WE WERE GREETED BY ADORABLE DEER JUST HANGING OUT BY THE CREEK THAT RUNS ALONG THE PROPERTY. THE CABIN WAS EXTREMELY CLEAN AND NEAT, THE BED WAS VERY COMFORTABLE AND THEY PROVIDED A WEALTH OF INFORMATION ON THE AREA, CARROTS TO FEED THE DEER IN THE FIRDGE, AND A WONDERFUL PATIO TO WATCH THE ANIMALS (DEER-TURKEYS-BIRDS). THE PROPERTY HAS BEAUTIFUL AND WELL MARKED TRAILS WITH GORGEOUS VIEWS AND PERFECT SITTING AREAS ALONG THE WAY. THE PROPERTY IS CLOSE TO RAMSEY PRESERVE FOR HIKING AND BIRDING AS WELL. THE OWNERS OF THE PROPERTY SEEMED TO HAVE THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING FOR YOUR STAY.

Thank you so much for staying with us Stephanie!  We appreciate your business and are so glad you enjoyed your time here.  Hope to see you again in the future.

Love the Wildlife!

My husband and I had signed up for the Sky Island Bike Tour in Sierra Vista and needed a place to stay close by. Luckily, I found the Ramsey Canyon Cabins and chose the Cowboy Cabin as it stated it was private and surrounded by nature. The cabin indeed was surrounded by nature, was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen had ample supplies for cooking. The best part was the wildlife viewing. The deer, turkeys, birds, squirrels and hawks were a delight to see as they would surround our patio every morning. Also, having Ramsey Canyon Nature Preserve, which is a wonderful birding destination just a short walk from the cabin, was an added bonus. Would highly recommend the Cowboy Cabin at Ramsey Canyon Cabins and hope to return!

Thank you very much for staying with us.  we are so glad you enjoyed your stay.  We look forward to your return!

Desert Mountain Haven

My weekend stay at the Relaxing Cowboy Cabin was a mother's day gift from my husband. I went all by myself, and let me tell you, it was the most relaxing weekend I have had for as long as I can remember. The cabin is located far enough off the beaten path that I did not have to worry about any noise from traffic, but is still close to gas stations, coffee shops and restaurants, as well as convenience stores like Dollar General. The inside of the cabin was very clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The hosts were very quick to respond to any communications I sent them, and made sure the cabin had all I needed as far as necessities (towels/toilet paper/dishes/cutlery). I will absolutely be back, and will most likely be making this an annual, if not semi-annual tradition. 10/10

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and your much needed recharge. See you again in the future!

"Relaxing" Creekside Cabin

No false advertising here: Sitting out on the deck observing the deer, turkeys, squirrels, and birds (especially hummingbirds) was truly relaxing and peaceful. The cabin has all the amenities, even A/C. Love the path lights at night surrounding the driveway. The cabin is well situated: Super birding here, with steep national forest roads minutes away in the 9000' Huachuca Mountains, just a short drive to Bisbee, and only an hour to Parker Canyon Lake and kayaking. Perfect!

Thank you for staying with us, glad you were able to enjoy the area!

Comfortable Creekside Cabin

It was the best!!! Standard-plus Supplies (even had a blender!), Marvelous Mattress, Superb Shower (hot water), Perfect Patio, Delightful Decor, Beautiful Birds, Darling Deer (they like carrots), Tranquil Turkeys (6:15 they gather to get ready to roost), Stupendous Sycamores (more in Ramsey Canyon).

Thank you so much for staying with us and for a raving review :) We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and very thankful that you took the time to purchase an extra mirror for the cabin so our guests experience can be even better. We look forward to your return, take care.
